Tips - When using colored pencils, you can overlap shades in the same color family or be dramatic and try opposite colors, i.e. yellow - purple. Gel pens tend not to bleed through the page like markers. And you can use them in contrast on top of each other, i.e black with white dots on it. Markers and Sharpies are bright but can bleed so place an extra sheet under the page you are working on or tear out and color. There are a ton of colors to choose from along with different types brush markers, fine point, angled tip, markers that are transparent and even acid free types. Experimenting is half the fun!
